Hey gang. Wanted to put a little news up so that some of the behind-the-scenes stuff around got some play.
First of all, as you’ve probably already noticed, the three of us started doing weekly blogs. Chris posts on Monday, Dave on Wednesday and Shaun on Friday, and each entry will appear at noon on those days. The blogs are pretty much about anything that we’re not going to have time to cover on the show, so sports, games, pop culture or stories about stupid people are fair game.
Next, there’s a couple new pages on the website. “Blogs,” unsurprisingly, puts all of those new entries into one convenient place, and can be sorted by individual authors as well. The new “Photos” page proves that we aren’t fictional entities and that Chris is ridiculously tall, and works in synergy with ATB’s new Flickr account (link at the top of the home page). There’s also a few new little widgets on the front page, like a hits counter and some kind of mission statement thing.
Finally, we’ve had a frustrating schedule so far in the show’s history that went something like this: “Hey, we should do a podcast. Hey, that turned out pretty good, let’s do more! Yeah, once a week! I’m sure we can make that work. Oops, we can’t make that work. Maybe every two weeks! Well, we’ll just get to it when we can. Whoops, we almost missed the month of August. Hmm.” That will no longer be the case. At the Buzzer will post every other Thursday starting next week, on top of our next episode appearing tomorrow. That’s right, tomorrow. So our next four episodes look like this:
- Tuesday, August 30: Show. It’s already done and everything.
- Thursday, September 8: Show. I’m sure it’ll be great.
- Thursday, September 22: Show. Probably awesome.
- Thursday, October 6: Show. You get the idea.
There’s still more to come. We’ll be unveiling a new website domain that doesn’t suck so much, an email address that is easier to remember, and more content down the road. Stay tuned.
