Wow.
That game had a little bit of everything. Fantastic start by the Heat. Great comeback by the Thunder.
And LeBron came up huge in the fourth quarter.
It’s not something we’ve heard too often is it? I’ve always heard the joke: “You can’t ask LeBron for change for a dollar, he’s only got three quarters.” I’ve never understood the criticism of him; it’s pretty tough to carry your team on your shoulders for 45 minutes and then be the offensive savior on the final play.

This playoffs though, James has done everything for the Heat. Not only has he scored 30 points in 10 of his last 12 games
in the playoffs (his two non 30 point games? 29 and 28 points), he’s also guarded Durant, averaged over 10 rebounds a game and had the offense run through him. So, as much as I hated “The Decision” and everything that went with it, I can’t understand the hate for LeBron anymore. The guy has taken everything in stride, been the MVP, and led his team to the finals twice. In game 2 he made the two biggest plays down the stretch for the Heat. Hitting a pull up bank shot with under 2
minutes to play, and then making the two final free throws with 7 seconds left to seal the game. He scored 32 points, and grabbed 8 boards. The king seems to be regaining his throne after the peasant uprising. As good as James was, Kevin Durant is showing that he and LeBron will compete for the title of “best player” for the next decade. After shooting 4-10 first half, Durant caught fire and nearly brought the Thunder back.
If we’ve learned something from this year’s finals, it’s that LeBron is gonna come through in the clutch, but Durant is gonna be right there with him. I feel this series is going 7 and it might come down to Durant, being guarded by LeBron, hoisting up a three as the buzzer sounds to decide the series. Frankly, I can’t wait.
