And now, this guy’s only sports related post ever…
For the past three years, I’ve been part of a fantasy football league. The past two years were alright. I didn’t stand out, mostly just snagged a few wins here and there, hovering around the old 0.500 win ratio. But this year was going to be different.
This year was the first year that my league chose to go with a live draft rather than automatic. This year, I was going to dominate. The advantages were innumerable, but most specifically I was interested in actually starting with a balanced team rather than eight kickers. I was interested in having top-tier backups instead of relying on whatever I could find on the waiver wire. This… was my year. The prize fund was as good as mine.
The live draft occurred, and I still found myself with three quarterbacks. Odd. Oh well, trade fodder for later. I still had a great team with Hakeem Nicks (he was my bread and butter my first year), LeSean McCoy, and Ahmad Bradshaw. Michael Vick is a decent quarterback. And since I already had two fairly decent running backs, I still picked up the then-injured Rashard Mendenhall as one of my later picks for when one of my main players is on a bye week.
So five weeks in with my rock star team, I’m pleased as punch to say that this has easily been the worst year of fantasy football for me since I’ve started (1-4-0). It happens to be mostly bad luck because I’ve been matched up with teams on very high scoring weeks (no team in the league has had more points scored against them). But hey, if I win out, I could still make double digit wins.

The best part of this post was definitely the tags. Good work!
… Wait.
Should I worn you? I’ve one my FF league two years in a row…. and took 2nd the year before that.
