Too many thoughts to focus on just one, and so that will bring us the next installment of America’s favorite blog: BulletTime.
- I got the name for my bullet point blog partially because it was a bullet, and partially because that’s the term they used for the special effects of The Matrix back in 1999 which, even though it’s been 13 years, are still good. It really is just too bad that they had to go and make that second and third movie and mess everything up. They had a solid idea with the first movie, and then wanted to go with a “non-traditional” and “allegorical” ending. I don’t, and will never, believe that Keanu Reeves can portray a Christ figure. No way, no how. That ruined it from the start.
- I have a lot of people on Facebook lately that post their political beliefs, especially last night with the Presidential Debate. I don’t have a problem with posting beliefs, but I can’t understand for the life of me why anyone (on either side) feels like they have to resort to name calling or personal attacks. If someone has a different belief in the way government is run, or they believe that one candidate will serve this country better than another, that’s their right as an American. When I see people saying how they “hate Willard” or “hate Obummer” or whatever other stupid nicknames they come up with, it’s sad. Both men running for president truly believe that their way of running the country will prosper America the most, and neither of them have some sinister motive of helping their friends out or helping Muslims out or whatever crazy conspiracy theories people come up with. So when I see people attacking either candidate as a person, and not as a politician, it lessens my faith in humanity.
- There’s really no better feeling in sports than hope. For me, sports have been that magical thing that I can invest all of my emotions in, and yet it has no true consequence in my life. Case in point (and, spoiler alert, Buzzerbeater tomorrow talks about this) is the Arizona State vs Oregon game tomorrow night. National TV, two teams trying to prove themselves in different ways, a young hungry team that no one believes in playing the established team that wants to prove it is the best in the country. It really doesn’t get much better than that. I love being able to talk to co-workers, friends, family and all of them having some knowledge of the game at hand and being excited for it. I love the schools buying into it with videos like this. Oregon is a great team, and most likely will win this game, but ASU has been all but perfect in its 3 games at home so far this year. I wouldn’t be shocked if ASU pulls off the upset and in doing so, turns a lot of heads.
- Shaun may have a natural endorsement plug for his workouts, but I have the time-tested method of self determination. Since the beginning of summer, I have made the commitment to getting in better shape and eating healthier. Since June 23rd I’ve lost 22 pounds and I’m feeling great. For all the people who say that dieting is hard…they’re right. Dieting is very hard. However, portion control, exercise and good dietary decisions are not hard. Everyone can do it, it’s a question of whether they want to or not. Now I’m in the muscle building phase so I don’t end up like a beanpole. My workout may not involve hot girls on a television while I want to pass out, but it does involve a lot of sweat and a lot of good feeling afterward. Shaun calls me rich all the time for some unknown reason, but if he can go out and buy a $200 workout program, I’ll stick with my gym and the basketball courts for my workout thank you very much.
- This is a public service announcement. If you live in the Phoenix area and are a fan of Arizona State in any way, shape, or form, go get tickets for this game. They’re not expensive and as coach Todd Graham said: “We want our fans to make so much noise that they break the windows on that new building over there.” Sun Devil Stadium holds over 73,000 people; make sure you’re one of them there. Here, here’s your link to buy tickets: Right here
Be sure to check out our new episode tomorrow, all about getting comfortable, maybe a little too comfortable. Dead chickens, burnt money and feet hitting sharp edges are all involved. If you want to know how these are connected, be sure to download tomorrow’s episode!

Nice try on the dig, but I got Insanity for free. LOOKS LIKE IT’S JUST DETERMINATION ON MY END, TOO. Better luck next time…BOOOOM
