He did not break my heart (I broke his . . . whoooooops) and HEY! The cards were a gift. They were dumb starter packs. I feel great about keeping them.
And because I actually have life experience about your next topic . . . this doesn’t make me look great . . . but I broke up with a fiance once as well, and I paid for half of the ring, but the center stone was his mother’s, so I gave it back, and he said he’d pay me back for the hundreds of dollars I paid (which . . . I’m gonna go on record and say is messed up that I paid for that at all) and HE HAS NEVER PAID ME BACK. I mean, again, I broke his heart, so I guess that’s the price I have to pay, but . . . still kind of bitter. It was a lot of money. Rings are like new cars though, terrible resale value; so it wasn’t that I wanted to keep it, I just want dem cash monies.
POINT BEING: if a woman doesn’t pay anything for the ring, and/or if it’s some kind of groom family heirloom, she should give it back. If she paid for it and it’s not some kind of family heirloom? Get it, girl.
