Today’s an in-between day for our top 25 lists. Yesterday we unveiled our #1 for the male side; tomorrow we begin our countdown for the female side with the honorable mention.
That sets off another month’s worth of posts that takes us through Sept. 30, when the #1 female character of all-time is revealed.
Originally, we had planned to have a few more days in between the two lists, with our panel’s overall impressions of the male top 25 and their picks for the WORST male characters. But with September being a day shorter, we’ll have to save that extra stuff for October.
The differences between the two lists have been interesting so far. As we talked about on last week’s podcast, the male side had more characters receive votes (151) than the female side is going to have (120). Link and Phoenix Wright had a huge amount of points, nearly double anyone else in the field. The female top 25, however, has EIGHT characters who all earned a ton of support — at least half the panel voted for them, and we’re not talking 25th-place votes.
It’ll be interesting to start this all over again tomorrow. In the meantime, all of the male links are below in case you missed any of the posts.
