Launch of the Geek Force Network

May 7, 2013May 7, 2013 Shaun

The internet is full of assholes. It’s just a fact. Rude, pretentious, temperamental, stuck up, ignorant, arrogant assholes. In my years of scouring the net for positive online communities, the results of my searches have ranged from mostly fruitless to … Continue reading Launch of the Geek Force Network

Why Eifel 65’s I’m Blue is the Best Song of All Time

May 7, 2013May 7, 2013 Shaun

In 1999, Eifel 65 released the greatest workout song known to mankind. With an addictive-as-crack-cocaine electronic flourish and seemingly innocuous lyrics that cut like hot steel to the core of humanity, Eifel 65’s I’m Blue defined a generation. He’s blue. … Continue reading Why Eifel 65’s I’m Blue is the Best Song of All Time

May 3, 2013May 3, 2013 Shaun

In what I consider is some of the biggest news of this year, an Eternal Darkness sequel, titled Shadow of the Eternals,  is looking for funding and is aiming to release on the PC and Wii U. Screw the PS4. … Continue reading Eternal Darkness sequel announced – Shadow of the Eternals

Recent announcements have claimed that the much anticipated A Link to the Past 2 for the 3DS will, in fact, include the Dark Realm. Now, this news is sort of assumed because why would it be a sequel to that … Continue reading Link to the Past 2 Will Include Dark Realm

“Injustice: Gods Among Us” and Kryptonite

April 26, 2013May 1, 2013 Shaun

I do my best to stay away from really finite, nitpicky geek/gamer rants. They are normally just overly critical, and nobody wants to hear about you bitch about something for 1000 words. Well, I can contain this minutiae within me … Continue reading “Injustice: Gods Among Us” and Kryptonite

Why People Hate Xbox 720’s “Always Online”

April 12, 2013April 16, 2013 Shaun

When you read the comments of articles dealing with the Xbox 720/Durango’s “always on” rumors, you find a lot of vitriol, regardless of people’s position. Most (over 80 percent, according to reports) are enraged, but you still get a very … Continue reading Why People Hate Xbox 720’s “Always Online”

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
