Review: Saints Row IV

September 3, 2013September 6, 2013 Chris

Fair or not, the Saints Row series is inexorably linked with Grand Theft Auto. At its beginning, Saints Row was a slightly less serious version of GTA. The critically acclaimed sequel seemed like the perfect mix of both worlds with … Continue reading Review: Saints Row IV

Zack Snyder Responds to Man of Steel’s High-Death Finale

August 30, 2013September 4, 2013 Shaun

Zack Snyder responded to Man of Steel’s finale, in which pretty much a gajillion people got murdered, half of which in the fist fight between Zod and Superman alone. Honestly, I was hoping for something close to an apology – … Continue reading Zack Snyder Responds to Man of Steel’s High-Death Finale

Review: Tales of Xillia (PS3)

August 26, 2013August 30, 2013 Chris

Tales of Xillia is the best title in the entire series. Okay, we’ve gotten the platitudes out of the way early. That’s good. Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who has played everything released in the States … Continue reading Review: Tales of Xillia (PS3)

Ben Affleck will make a great Batman in Superman vs. Batman. It’s in my article’s title, and just so you didn’t think I accidentally wrote it when trying to write “the worst Batman,” I said it again. The problem here, … Continue reading Ben Affleck will make a great Batman in Superman vs. Batman

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
