“Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag” Pirate Ship announced for Comic Con

July 2, 2013 Shaun

The official announcement is below. Boarding a real life pirate ship at Comic Con? Sounds cool, and I applaud Ubisoft for taking the extra step at the exhibit….but I’ll reserve judgement for now, because I’m not sure how much I … Continue reading “Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag” Pirate Ship announced for Comic Con

Azula on the Iron Throne

July 1, 2013July 3, 2013 Jason

Look at that. You can’t argue with that. If there’s one person who could survive all the political backstabbing and cruelty of Westeros, it’s Princess Azula. Some might argue that trading one sociopath for another isn’t exactly the best plan… … Continue reading Azula on the Iron Throne

Music to My Ears: Mega Man 2

July 1, 2013July 5, 2013 Chris

It’s a damn shame what Capcom has done to Mega Man. Once upon a time, Keiji Inafune’s Blue Bomber was the coolest kid in town. The series provided dependable action-platforming gameplay and a tried-and-true formula — beat eight robot masters … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Mega Man 2

Chris and Molly’s Duet

June 27, 2013July 2, 2013 Chris

As part of the Episode 100 extravaganza, Chris and Molly worked together to sing “I See the Light” from Tangled despite all the miles between them. It’s a technological marvel. The somewhat creepy image above is duplicated in the YouTube … Continue reading Chris and Molly’s Duet

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
