Labor of Love

September 3, 2012September 16, 2012 Chris

I thought about taking today off and not writing anything. I really did. We’ve had a few missing articles in the past couple weeks from just about everyone else, so what was the harm in missing one myself? It’s a … Continue reading Labor of Love

40,000 Hits Bonus Video!

September 2, 2012September 10, 2012 Gray Areas

Man, here we are again. It’s a good problem to have. It’s still a strange to me, considering that we had all of 3 hits in March and like 500 total for the entire summer of 2011. Now we’re churning … Continue reading 40,000 Hits Bonus Video!

NHL 13 and the Days of Old

August 27, 2012September 2, 2012 Chris

As much as I enjoy playing sports video games, there’s always been a certain limit. For the most part, picking up the latest annual title has never done much for me. If the changes from year to year merely boil … Continue reading NHL 13 and the Days of Old

Music to My Ears: Sonic the Hedgehog 2

August 20, 2012August 30, 2012 Chris

As I mentioned on last week’s episode, I never owned a Sega Genesis. It probably went a long way toward explaining why I liked Nintendo more than Sega. Still, I played a ton of video games as a kid, so … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Summer Vacation Was Neat

August 13, 2012September 16, 2012 Chris

This is apparently going to be one of those posts where I sound like an old person. You can insert your own jokes about gray hair here. Back in my day, I always looked forward to summer vacation. It wasn’t … Continue reading Summer Vacation Was Neat

Piplup is the Best Pokemon

August 6, 2012June 17, 2016 Chris

We’ve already had a pair of compelling arguments this week about which Pokemon is the best. It’s a shame both of them are wrong. My colleagues have failed in their explanations because being the best isn’t just about murdering everyone. … Continue reading Piplup is the Best Pokemon

Bump on a Blog: Fark

July 30, 2012August 8, 2012 Chris

Bump on a Blog is a new feature on useful or interesting sites across the internet. I spend a ton of time each week looking for headlines for the show or ways to increase At the Buzzer’s networking, and certain … Continue reading Bump on a Blog: Fark

Review: The Sacred Star of Milos

July 27, 2012September 14, 2012 Chris

Let’s get this out of the way up front: It’s not that Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos is a bad movie. Far from it. But when Brotherhood set the bar so high, this movie (which takes place in … Continue reading Review: The Sacred Star of Milos

Penn State Penalties: A No-Win Situation

July 23, 2012July 29, 2012 Chris

The NCAA finally dropped the hammer on Penn State earlier today, slapping the university with a $60 million fine, a four-year ban from bowl games, a reduction in scholarships and several other punitive measures as part of the fallout from … Continue reading Penn State Penalties: A No-Win Situation

30,000 Hits Bonus Video!

July 20, 2012July 27, 2012 Gray Areas

Once upon a time, getting to 10,000 hits seemed like an uphill battle. We worked hard to build the site in 2011, but at the end of the year we had just over 6,000 hits. Not too shabby considering we … Continue reading 30,000 Hits Bonus Video!

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
