Appreciating My Manga Collections More in a COVID-19 World

July 22, 2020 Michaela

It’s hard to engage in the hobbies you enjoy when the world’s on fire. Hyperbolic? Yes. But is it that far from the truth? These days . . . no, not really. The many hobbies and activities people participated in … Continue reading Appreciating My Manga Collections More in a COVID-19 World

Fullmetal Alchemist vs Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

September 18, 2016October 20, 2017 Michaela

When you’re an anime fan long enough, you start to come across major debates either on the Internet or even talking to fellow fans. Classic debates like subs vs dubs are pretty frequent, but another long fought debate that gets … Continue reading Fullmetal Alchemist vs Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Period,” Chemistry

July 18, 2015October 20, 2017 Michaela

I will admit that I didn’t like most of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood openings and endings and was skipping most all of them as I watched it. The same held true for “Period” until I gave it a chance after … Continue reading Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Period,” Chemistry

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
