“Fall,” or “That Time of Year When Games Kill Wallets”

September 23, 2014September 28, 2014 Chris

Every fall, video game publishers conspire to take all of the money from our wallets. This is a known commodity, but I still fall for it every year. How else to explain the sudden transition from “barely anything is coming … Continue reading “Fall,” or “That Time of Year When Games Kill Wallets”

Demo Hate, And The New Bravely Default Story Trailer

January 22, 2014January 22, 2014 Shaun

As I downloaded the Bravely Default demo on my 3DS, it occurred to me how much I actually hate demos of games. I think they’re a waste of time. At best, they just seem like pointless spoilers that will dilute … Continue reading Demo Hate, And The New Bravely Default Story Trailer

Rise of the Phoenix: Why I don’t hate the Suns New Jerseys

August 16, 2013August 22, 2013 Shaun

Last night, the Suns unveiled their new uniforms, and reactions were…tepid. Some might even say awful. People simply did like these jerseys. Whether it’s the fact that the new look didn’t meet their expectations, or they just hate the design, … Continue reading Rise of the Phoenix: Why I don’t hate the Suns New Jerseys

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
