April 19, 2013April 24, 2013 Shaun

March 28, 2013 Shaun

A while back, rumors of the new Rocksteady Batman game surfaced which indicated that instead of a sequel to Arkham City, the next Batman game in the series would be a prequel, set in the past, and be called Batman: … Continue reading Batman: Arkham Origins Prequel Releasing This Year?

Saints Row 4: Finally, super powers in an open world

March 22, 2013 Shaun

I had a good time with Saint’s Row 2, but never got past the intro in Saint’s Row: The Third. Chalk it up to open-world GTA fatigue, but I can barely even play through Grand Theft Auto games these days … Continue reading Saints Row 4: Finally, super powers in an open world

Review from a Gaming Expert – Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

March 22, 2013March 26, 2013 Shaun

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Proves Everybody Wrong I was expecting Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance to be one of the most polarizing titles ever. In my experience, all Metal Gear Solid fans love the original. From there, two very distinct camps … Continue reading Review from a Gaming Expert – Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

New Director for Goosebumps: The Movie

March 20, 2013 Shaun

So apparently Rob Letterman, director of Monsters vs. Aliens, is in talks to direct Goosebumps: The Movie. And that’s fine, whatever. The part that I’m stoked about? THERE IS GOING TO BE A GOOSEBUMPS: THE MOVIE. Maybe it’s because I’m … Continue reading New Director for Goosebumps: The Movie

Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 Cross-Over Announced

March 15, 2013March 15, 2013 Shaun

Yeah, you read that right. In…surprising news, the PC versions of both games will include characters from the respective franchises. Review from a Gaming Expert: Tomb Raider

March 8, 2013March 11, 2013 Shaun

A New Tomb Raider Tomb Raider was, by a large margin, the game I was most looking forward to this year. So, of course, I expected the series reboot to be terrible. That’s just how it works with me; if … Continue reading Review from a Gaming Expert: Tomb Raider

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
