Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Strength,” Abingdon Boys School

July 31, 2015March 4, 2017 Michaela

My second song from Soul Eater, this is the fourth and final ending called “Strength”. My favorite among the ending themes from the show, the piano is driving and melodic. The ending is admittedly strange to watch seeing as how … Continue reading Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Strength,” Abingdon Boys School

Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Resonance,” T.M. Revolution

July 24, 2015October 20, 2017 Michaela

I’ve always enjoyed “Resonance” ever since I first watched the opening. The song’s dark, dance-like rhythm is exciting, and the characters dancing at times are unusual but memorable. The opening is sprinkled with some exciting action, creating a great opening … Continue reading Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Resonance,” T.M. Revolution

Reviews: Scoring The Best (And Worst) Anime I’ve Seen

September 20, 2013March 4, 2017 Michaela

Anime shows are entertaining. Some more than others. Since I know it can be hard to get into the genre with so many poor shows out there, I’m going to score the current ones I’ve already seen. This way I’ll … Continue reading Reviews: Scoring The Best (And Worst) Anime I’ve Seen

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
