Site Updates

Time to do a little overdue house cleaning.

So after pouring a bunch of hours into the site’s redesign, I kinda just let things rock for a little while. Little tweaks didn’t seem quite as important after retooling the entire thing to look more pretty. But it’s time to update a few things.

First of all, the minor bits. The left-hand sidebar has been tweaked a bit to reflect sites and comics that have died. Going the Distance is no more (at least for the time being), so having it there didn’t make much sense. Huff and Stapes went off the air and Talking Questions became part of a big podcast conglomerate. Instead, I tossed on a couple of links to blogs that have interacted heavily with our own.

Also in that sidebar, I brought back links to our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages. Losing those buttons was about the only thing I hated to see go from the old site, and I realized there wasn’t a place for them here. So they’re back and ready to be viewed.

There’s new links on the top and the side to Reviews. We’ve done a surprisingly high amount of reviews over 18 months here, so it makes sense to bunch them all together in one convenient place. This may or may not have anything to do with a Sleeping Dogs review I’m going to post on Monday. Hard to say.

Finally, and most importantly, the Photos page has new pictures for the first time in a while. All three of us look pretty different compared to our smiling mugs in the banner image: my hair is long, Shaun’s is short, and Dave…well, Dave looks like Dave. There’s also a fan submission in there and a look at a couple of our recording spots. I’d love to have even more photos up, but none of us really takes that many pictures. Such is life. Just know that if you head to that page, you’re going to see stuff like this:

Shaun got a haircut and looks as young as ever.

So…you’ve been warned.

  1. I’m catching up on my blog following/podcast listening and I like what you’ve done with the place. (Thanks for the trackback, btw.) In that photo above – it kinda looks like my childhood living room, funky carpet and all, except our wood furniture had plaid cushions and we had a beige rotary phone.

    1. It’s like you and I lived in some sort of parallel/bizarro world of each others youths. Perhaps we’re actually bizzaro brother and sister…
