A New Level of Video Game Music

I bought a pretty nice keyboard recently to get back to playing the piano again. I never learned how to read sheet music or anything fancy like that, but I’ve always had a gift for listening to things by ear and then playing them back. Most of the time, that involves reproducing themes from video games and the like, rather than Bach or Beethoven or something.

I’ve picked up a few pieces lately, like the Song of Healing from Majora’s Mask or the Phantom Forest from Final Fantasy VI. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I saw this video.

Don’t shy away simply because it’s almost 10 minutes long. It’ll only take about 45 seconds to get you hooked, and you certainly have to get to the part with the horse.

Looks like I have a lot more work to do on the piano to impress anyone…
