Hey everyone! Just a short post for this Sunday. Some of you may remember my earlier post back in last August that featured Gunnerkrigg Court, a fantastic web-comic that I suggest you all go check out. Well I’ve got another one for you this week, and although it hasn’t been going on for as long as Gunnerkrigg, it’s one of the most hilarious and well drawn comics I’ve seen in some time.

It’s called Paranatural by Zack Morrison, and was featured on io9 the other day. It’s about a young man moving to a new town with a new school and trying to deal with all the crazy non-sense that typically happens at a new school (like bullies) while also having to deal with the added weight of being able to see, touch (and be attacked!) by all sorts of ghosts and spirits that roam the town. I’d go into more detail about the comic, but it’s only into it’s 3rd chapter so I’m probably just better off letting you guys read through it and just decide what you like for yourselves.

I will say this though, Paranatural is one of the funniest things I’ve read in some time. From the character’s expressions to the purposely parody-like nature of some of the scenes, it’s clearly a comic made for people who enjoy comics. All while still managing to bring a bright and fantastic art-style to the screen and crafting a world that you can’t wait to find more about.
