According to reports, oscar-winning actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his apartment with a hypodermic needle still in his arm. He was 46 years old. Although he battled addiction in the past, he had checked into rehab in May and seemed to be on the road to recovery.

I don’t really have words for how sad this is. Hoffman was arguably the most talented actor of our generation, but besides that, anytime there’s drugs involved it’s truly unfortunate, and makes you sad for what could have been.

Thoughts go out to his friends and family in the wake of this tragedy.
