Number Seven With a Bullet

November 5, 2012November 19, 2012 Chris

All hail the bullets! Just got through a long weekend where I worked a 12-hour shift, rushed down to Phoenix to be a groomsman for a wedding, shuttled all over the city to see a variety of people, then dragged … Continue reading Number Seven With a Bullet

My Wreck-it Ralph A-Team

November 4, 2012November 12, 2012 Jason

So imagine this… You’re sitting at home one day when suddenly your computer/console gets hit wicked hard by some sort of super virus; right in the middle of your favorite game too! Oh sure, you could factory reset the computer or try … Continue reading My Wreck-it Ralph A-Team

Review From a Gaming Expert: Dead or Alive 5

November 2, 2012November 9, 2012 Shaun

Dead or Alive 5 Review: Fun Trumps Technicality This review, you might have noticed, is a bit late. I apologize. When you call yourself a “gaming expert,” the onus is on you to master every facet of the game you’re … Continue reading Review From a Gaming Expert: Dead or Alive 5

Parity in the NFL/NBA

October 31, 2012November 5, 2012 David

One of my favorite writers, Bill Simmons, wrote an interesting piece yesterday. In his NBA predictions piece, he gave two and only two predictions: 1.   The Miami Heat will beat the LA Lakers for the NBA title. 2.   … Continue reading Parity in the NFL/NBA

2012 – 2013 Phoenix Suns Season Preview: Playoff Bound

October 30, 2012November 6, 2012 Shaun

The Phoenix Suns season preview: Playoff bound That’s right. You read the headline correctly. For the first time in two years, the Suns are heading to the playoffs. And not as the 8th seed as the sacrificial lambs to whichever … Continue reading 2012 – 2013 Phoenix Suns Season Preview: Playoff Bound

Music to My Ears: Street Fighter IV

October 29, 2012November 7, 2012 Chris

Okay, I finally have a recent game here. Sure, the original came out in 2009, but Street Fighter IV has continuously had updates (including ver. 2012 at the end of last year) to keep it fresh and balanced. I’ve mentioned … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Street Fighter IV

Jingles! A Tinker Bell Movie Review

October 28, 2012November 4, 2012 Jason

If I learned one thing from watching Disney’s Secret of the Wings, it was that glaciers are very stealthy. That, and Tinker Bell is still the best character from Peter Pan. That being said, hello everyone and welcome to the movie … Continue reading Jingles! A Tinker Bell Movie Review

Review From a Gaming Expert: Dishonored

October 26, 2012November 4, 2012 Shaun

Dishonored Review – An exercise in freedom and frustration Friend of the show Jason already wrote a review of Arkane Studio’s Dishonored, but his playthrough consisted of him brutally murdering everything in sight. So, I thought it would be most … Continue reading Review From a Gaming Expert: Dishonored

Grammar Police

October 24, 2012October 29, 2012 David

I’ll come out and say it right now. I’m a member of the grammar police. Every time I see someone use an incorrect conjugation of a verb, or someone use your when they should use “you’re” drives me insane. It … Continue reading Grammar Police

Gray Areas

Gray Areas is a pop culture extravaganza with a live weekly podcast every Thursday night, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of old blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris, Dave and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Cody, who joined in 2021. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It became Objection Network in 2017 and then this in 2024. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
